What is a few good websites to find used textbooks for college?
I am looking for used textbooks, obviously, and cannot remember any of the sites recommended to me. I would like more than one please, and preferably a site you have used. - http://www.campusbooks.com/ They allow you to search by title or ISBN and compare prices across several sellers
- Google the ISBN #, just put in ISBN with the 10 or 13 digit number following it. Usually it will come up with places online that are carrying it. Overall, my favorite is Amazon.com. Search for the book by ISBN # on Amazon.com (the textbook page is a good start, there is an ISBN search box there) and then when you get to the book's page, look on the right hand side for More Buying Choices, that's where you'll find a link for the Used books. You are buying for individuals and companies, but the sale goes through Amazon. Shipping is $3.99 per book, or $6.99 per book for expedited, if it's offered. I've bought many used text books this way and never had a problem.
- The best site I have found for finding college textbooks is BookDealFinder.com Not only can you find used textbooks at the best price, you can also find new books, rentals, and eBooks.
- Use BigWords or CheapTextBooks to help you comparison shop (www.BigWords.com and www.CheapTextBooks.com). Rental options are Chegg.com, BookRenter.com, and eCampus.com, which claim that their rentals save 65-85 percent off the price of buying used. For more ideas and resources see the attached article.
